Is your child not motivated?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Lack of motivation can be a major hurdle in your child’s progress. Online Tutoring can surely help, but it is also the responsibility of parents to motivate their children from time to time. Here are some of the well-researched factors, which if followed, can yield results in short time.

Children love being loved. Loving your child yet not expressing it, would do no good. Verbal encouragement and support can help your child develop interest in various fields. Children devoid of love and encouragement do not display (more…)

Online Tutoring Essentials: Communication

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Online tutoring, as practiced by some tutors, is more of a ‘knowledge giving process’ than ‘a tutor-child interaction’. Scientifically speaking, the latter is far better than the former. Let us understand the reason for this?

Communicating is often misconstrued as the act of talking. In reality, it is the process of (more…)

Scared Of Math?

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Ask any child which subject does he/she fear the most? And the reply would come within a second- Math. Children, most of them, hate Math. In fact, I have seen may groups of popular social networking websites named as “Hate Math”, “Math S…..” (can’t use that word here!) and so on.

This, and the articles that follow, would bring to light the essential factors of online tutoring, one at a time. Education, for most parents and educationalists, is more about instructing than helping children become better human beings. This reminds me of an amazing saying by (more…)

The world of Online Education is not just limited to providing online guidance in Math, English, Science, Computers, Test Preparation, and Foreign Languages. Homework help and assistance in compiling assignments have become an important aspect of online tutoring.

Why Online Tutoring

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

When the Internet revolution spread across the world like wild fire (of course, in the good sense here), thinkers never gave it a thought that ‘Education using the Internet’ model would gain such widespread popularity. The World Wide Web has opened new doors for us. A friend or a relative staying thousands of miles away from us is just a click away. Sometimes, it makes me wonder- what would happen if the Internet stops working for a day or two?

Initially, parents were skeptical about Online Tutoring. And they were quite (more…)
